Scotland doesn’t have “dive bars” or “ruin bars” but if it did then Old Hairdresser’s would be one. Barely decorated Bohemian look and graffitied toilets adds to the charm of one of Glasgow’s trendiest bars. A decent selection of draft beers at decent price makes this a decent bar, although the high ceiling can make it chilly in the winter

One of my fave bars in Glasgow, cuz the staff are so nice and the gigs are fun.
Hidden away between Hope Street and Renfield Street down the cobbled Renfield Lane, the Old Hairdressers has always been somewhat of a refuge for us. We always seem to head there when it’s raining but then again that could simply be coincidental with the Glasgow weather. The bar based on two open levels is a great place to have a chilled out drink, but the bar itself doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously which is great and feels kind of kitsch decorated with B-movie posters of times gone past.
