My 15 year old daughter opted for home education in January 2022, and we were looking for options for Higher exams. I found The Saturday School and we are very happy with the structure of the lessons, level of professionalism and dedication of my daughter’s English teacher. We are Brian and Julie McGarvie, the husband and wife team behind the trusted Maths and English tuition centre in Bearsden. We are both fully qualified (and PVG registered) teachers with nearly 40 years experience between us and are both still teaching in school. We have been teaching in our current schools for over 14 and 18 years each and are now combining our passion for teaching with running our own successful business. On Track Tuition opened at Bearsden Cross in 2015 and has gone from strength to strength. We are popular with pupils/parents living locally but our excellent reputation means that we also attract students who travel in from outwith the Bearsden / Milngavie area.

I contacted On Track Tuition for my son for Maths. He was doing OK in class but was quite shy & he didn’t like to ask questions. I thought he had great potential & it was the best move I ever made. Brian was so approachable to discuss any concerns & made my son feel very comfortable & relaxed in his class
My son has been working with Brian for number of years. He was struggling with his homework and finding the subject challenging. Learning from Brian has improved his ability to understand mathematics at a higher level. We were all overjoyed when he managed to achieve an A in his NAT 5 and again an A in his higher this year. I would recommend Brian to anyone who needs help to accomplish their potential.
