We really enjoyed the bakery selection here. We tried the cinnamon bun, apple strudel and Nutella croissant. They were honestly mouthwatering, particularly the Nutella croissant. The coffee was good to some extent.
Actually got a Too Good To Go bundle from here and I’ll be back to visit in store for sure. The selection I got was unreal, everything so tasty. The highlights were the chicken mayonnaise baguette and the chocolate filled bread. Looking forward to trying some more in the near future.
What a lovely wee Caffè. Delicious coffee and so yummy cakes. Cinnamon bun was amazing served hot. You need to come and try.

Established in 1971, Newlands Home Bakery is an independent family-run business with five local shops in the Southside of Glasgow. Our founder David Irvine opened his first small bakery shop in Newlands, Kilmarnock Road in 1971 and as business expanded we decided to open a second shop in Newton Mearns in 1982. With help from all family members working in the business as well as wholesale business demand increasing, we decided to relocate to larger premises in 1983 (where we are today). At this time our wholesale and retail business became very popular and therefore we decided to increase our workforce with talented bakers and shop assistants to serve our loyal customers.

This place is legendary – their cake (gateau’s) are the best, every birthday party, this has to be on the menu, they never fail us. I am Lactose intolerant and i never get a reaction as their cream is non dairy (special request). The cake is also very light too.
Love this place the only bakery to visit for your morning rolls and staff are great very friendly and always greeted with a smile.
Great bakery – the super friendly staff were very helpful. Went there to collect a giant empire biscuit for a friend. Tried a lasagna pie for the first time. Recommended!! (Unless you’re on a diet.

The best part about living in Hyndland is proximity to The Bakery. Love getting fresh bread here and the occasional sweet treat.
As a french living in Hyndland, it’s so nice to finally have a bakery around here! Really friendly, good choice of bread and pastries/sandwiches. Hope they’ll have croissants/pains au chocolat and such in the future, that would be awesome! Otherwise, could be nice to stay open ’till a little later during week days (10am-7pm instead of 9am-6pm?) so I can take my daily bread after work.
Excellent range of bread, sandwiches and pastries. Nothing else like it in this part of the West End. Not tried the coffee but there always seem to be lots of people getting it to takeaway on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
