At Niche Optical Tailor we source collections from all over the world to give our clients the best choice possible. With pieces featuring some of the finest acetate from Italy and Japan, as well as specialist craftspeople utilising copper, steel, sterling silver, and buffalo horn, we are certain every client will find something truly special. We also design our own frames in-house using the Niche Bazaar Studio label. Using the best acetate available – Mazzucchelli acetate – our own collection is one of the most popular with our clientele. With state-of-the-art equipment, eye tests at Niche are significantly more advanced and precise than most other opticians. Thanks to Essilors AVA technology, we are able to test eyes to 0.01 dioptres as opposed to the traditional 0.25 dioptres.  We are also pleased to offer OCT scans to our clients, giving an even more accurate and in-depth assesmment of a patient’s eye health using 3D scanning techniques.

Where do I start? First of all, the people working here are amazing – genuine, knowledgeable, patient, have a real passion for eyewear, and most importantly care about their customers. They have great personalities which make shopping here is a joy. Secondly, Niche probably have the best collection of eyewear from independent makers in the city, there is an astonishing number of exciting/tasteful brands sitting in the shop. I am truly impressed.
Will definitely be back here! Exciting stock of sunglasses with different styles to choose from. The staff were excellent at helping me pick what I wanted and the customer service made the experience brilliant. Definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for unique designer sunglasses.

I went to McGrath Opticians for my first pair of glasses. The staff was incredibly helpful to narrow down the choice of possible frames and made qualified recommendations to help me find the right ones within the limits of my budget
The best opticians I have ever ever been too! I went there on a recommendation as my eyes were feeling uncomfortable and not right, after seeing another opticians who said they were fine. Michael checked them over and yep I had very mild conjunctivitis which explained the uncomfortableness. Michael explained how to address the said issue and I recovered within four days. I also received a follow up call from Michael asking how I was. A genuinely lovely chap who genuinely cares about people and their eyes. Michael’s staff are very very pleasant and welcoming too…
Best opticians I’ve ever been to in my life, and I am totally kicking myself that I didn’t bother to get to such a good opticians years ago!! All the staff are exceptionally caring & very knowledgeable, and really took the time to find out what was going on with my eyes, something that every optician I’ve seen in the last 6 – 8 years has failed to do. I would highly recommend.
