What We Offer:

The Glasgow Academical Rugby Football Section was founded in 1866 when a number of former pupils of the school met at the Academy under the chairmanship of the Rector, Mr Morrison, and adopted a resolution that an Academical Club should be formed. At the club runs one of the oldest mini and youth rugby sections in the country. A number of our players, we are proud to report, have gone on to gain International. We are a proudly amateur club offering a good quality of rugby, a friendly atmosphere and are pleased to welcome both new rugby players and supporters to join our vibrant, thriving, family club. We are always looking for new players and supporters to join the Glasgow Academicals. Rugby football is the only game that has been played by the Club without a break except, during the war years.
